June 3, 2015 Listening to Rihanna (Pretty pumped up tonight)

Ciao friends + fashion lovers!

I have been really enjoying my stay in Italy thus far. I did quite a lot of exploring on my own today and I was able to find some exciting shops. I am still struggling to find a place to work out at. I visited “Studio A” and it turns out that it has been closed for two years now. TWO YEARS. So I was a little disappointed that LdM was still recommending this place. So, I ended up exploring throughout the city. I know I say this often, but I am so grateful and excited to be here. The advisors at LdM call this the “Honeymoon” stage, but I like to call it appreciation. I plan on taking this trip as a privilege (because it truly is) and explore and enjoy all of the cultures I come across.

Shopping here in Italy has been ON POINT. Obviously, I do not enter the high-fashion stores because there is no way I could afford them, but I still like to walk pass them and appreciate how close I am living next to them. Not to mention, their window displays look amazing and prestigious so even witnessing them takes my breath away. Visual Merchandising is one of my favorite aspects of my career field, so my walks through Florence have been quite the view. Upon my exploring find the one and only BRANDY MELVILLE. Brandy Melville is a clothing line that originated approximately twenty years ago, but came to Pacific Sunwear stores in 2013 in the United States. It is a fairly new store for young women in the U.S. I am proud to say that I have been familiar with this brand since about 2012. I remember having the website saved on my web thingy (OMG, cannot remember the name as of right now) and loving everything in it. The style stays pretty consistent throughout the seasons. It almost truly has a nostalgic feeling to the 90s girls who were born or were kids during this time. I have to say that Brandy has won me over, though. The style of the clothes is very basic, with sleek silhouettes, and a great amount of stripes and neutrals. (Think Stephanie Tanner’s baggy jean jacket with a crop top) Anyway, being at the  actual store here was breathtaking. It was huge! Back in America, we simply get a small section of Brandy Melville in PacSun. Another great find in Florence was a store  called Subdued. It is a bit more boho than Brandy Melville, but the colors and silhouettes are similar. Unfortunately, when I found the store, it was closed and I did not get the opportunity to go inside. Processed with VSCOcam with p5 preset Well, that’s it for now! I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow as I will be traveling to the French Riviera. Don’t be afraid to leave your comments or feedback! & I hope you enjoy my blogs as much I do writing them!
