One simply cannot think of the sixties and not think of “The Beatles.” “The Beatles” were an English rock band from Liverpool who were a great impact during this time. As Renwick and Russell mention in Newstories, to understand the culture in the 1960s is to look at “The Beatles” and vice versa (2013). Members of “The Beatles” were John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr. They became known as the most influential music group of the 1960s. Some may even say they are still an influence today. By simply listening to at least one soundtrack, a person can get a feel of just what this era was — free will, peace, and love.
